Our Silicone Mask Seal Cushion is manufactured using the Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) molding process. This process starts with meticulous part design to ensure durability and efficiency. While the shrink rate for LSR is higher than other materials, we mitigate this with precise tolerances and features to reduce flash. LSR excels in filling thin wall sections and accommodates variations without issues like sinking, ensuring a high-quality finish every time.
CNC Machined and Hand-Polished for Perfection
Upon order placement, an LSR molding tool is custom-designed. Given the flexibility of LSR, parts are manually removed, eliminating the need for ejector pins. Our high-temperature aluminum tools are crafted using CNC milling and electrical-discharge machining (EDM) for superior precision. The tools are then hand-polished to meet customer specifications, offering six standard surface finishes: PM-F0, PM-F1, SP-C1, PM-T1, PM-T2, and SPI-A2, with additional finishes available upon request.
