LSR CPAP Face Mask Mold Process
Two-Step Overmolding: Our mold process involves a two-step method for creating CPAP face masks. First, a plastic PC gasket is placed inside the mold cavity. Then, Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) material is injected to form the cushion over the gasket.
Overmolding Process: During overmolding, the LSR material is directly applied onto the plastic gasket to create a single, seamless piece.
Bonding Assurance: To ensure a strong bond between the plastic PC components and the LSR cushion, it’s important to use bonding adhesive or glue before starting the overmolding process.
